What would the holiday season be without some neat drinks? At the end of the day, friends and family come together to share a good time. Of course, someone has to be responsible for drinks, and you guessed it, that person is you.

To help you out and get you inspired, here are 12 cocktails for the Christmas season. Try them out and get that Christmas party started!

Hot Chocolate

1. Cranberry Gin Fizz

This fizzy drink is a great ambassador for the holiday season. A shot of gin, topped with equal parts cranberry juice and ginger ale, come together for a thirst-quenching drink, appropriate for the loudest holiday parties. Throw in some fresh cranberries for a full effect.

2. Warm Bourbon Cider

Bourbon rocks, and it’s even better in a warm bourbon cider. Warm up apple cider over low heat, and spice it up with a cinnamon stick, nutmeg and star anise. Serve it in a mug with a splash of bourbon, and you’re ready to stay warm even on the chilliest night.

4. Pumpkin Spice White Russian

White Russians are awesome. Who would have thought a measure of vodka, coffee liqueur and a splash of half & half would be so decadently tasty? Now add a teaspoon’s tip of pumpkin spice, and you’ve got yourself a delicious seasonal drink.

5. Christmas Daiquiri

Daiquiris are the quintessential summer drinks, but we can tweak them a bit to fit the winter holiday atmosphere. Start with an ounce and a half of coconut rum and shake it along with an ounce of coconut milk and another one of sweetened coconut cream and enjoy!

6. Amaretto Cream

We’re using a thick-bottomed glass for this one. Fill it with ice, add a measure of nutty amaretto. Then top it with half & half. Swirl it a bit and enjoy the very essence of Christmas in a glass. For garnish, add some cherries in a bar pick.

7. Hot Buttered Rum

A holiday classic for sure. Hot buttered rum just tastes like home with the family. Melt a teaspoon of butter and add another one of sugar until fully melted. Remove it from the heat and combine it with a vanilla ice cream scoop. Blend it all and add a splash of rum. You’ll be making this one all-year-round.

8. Pomegranate Moscow Mule

Moscow mules are refreshing, ginger beer and a vodka shot are all you need to satisfy your thirst, but with a splash of pomegranate juice and half a fistful of pomegranate seeds, this one is a Christmas special.

9. Mexican Hot Chocolate

A spicy cup of hot chocolate is already festive, but when flavored with cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and vanilla, it becomes a drink worthy of the most memorable Christmas Eves. Serve this one really hot and feel free to throw in a splash of brandy.

10. Mulled Wine

Another holiday classic. For many people, there’s no Christmas without mulled wine, and you should be one of those people. Heat a nice red wine without letting it boil, add warm winter spices, including cinnamon and star anise. Throw in some fruits in there too. Finally, serve it in mugs and spike them with a shot of brandy.

11. White Christmas Martini

Although there’s only one real martini, any colorful and boozy drink served in that sexy glass is a martini too. This one, made with vanilla vodka, white chocolate liqueur and half & half, is a beauty. With a sugar-crusted rim, it’s as Christmas-y as drinks get.

12. Cranberry Sangria

Last but not least, why not a lovely winter-scented sangria? Mix half a glass of red wine with cranberry juice, an ounce of simple syrup, a splash of lime juice and throw in fresh cranberries in there. That’s a colorful drink right there!
